LEAP 2027 runs from April 12 to 15 at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center in Malham (RECC Malham), Saudi Arabia. It's one of the region's largest technology conferences and exhibitions, and DeepFest, an AI event, runs alongside it at the same time.
A short gap between editions
The previous edition, LEAP 2026, took place from August 31 to September 3, 2026. LEAP 2027 comes about seven months later, in April. If you met people at the 2026 edition, their follow-ups will still be fresh when you see them again, so it's worth reconnecting before you arrive rather than after.
Getting to Malham
RECC Malham is not in central Riyadh, so treat travel as part of your plan:
- Shuttle buses. For the 2026 edition, LEAP ran a shuttle service to and from the venue and published the details closer to the event. Check the official site for the 2027 plan.
- Parking. At the 2026 edition, on-site parking came with certain pass types (Priority, VIP, Founder, and Investor passes). If you plan to drive, check what your 2027 pass includes.
- Book fewer meetings on day one. The first morning is when everyone is learning the venue and the transport at the same time.
Choose your pass for the rooms you need
LEAP's FAQ describes a range of passes, from general to VIP, with different access to the conference program, the exhibition, and DeepFest. Decide who you need to meet before you buy. If your people are on the conference stages or at DeepFest, a pass that only covers the exhibition won't get you into those rooms.
LEAP is a business event for attendees aged 18 and over. There are no child passes.
Where the networking happens
- The exhibition floor. Global tech brands and startups exhibit side by side. Book meetings with the stands you care about before you fly in.
- DeepFest. If you work in AI, DeepFest draws a more focused audience than the main floor, which means fewer but more relevant conversations.
- The LEAP app. LEAP runs an event app for networking and booking meetings with other attendees. Use it in the weeks before, not just on site.
Cards and WhatsApp in Saudi Arabia
Business cards are a normal part of meeting people in the Kingdom, and many cards are printed in English and Arabic. Give and receive cards with your right hand, and take a moment to read one before putting it away. For the next step, WhatsApp is often preferred to email, so ask which the person prefers.
After LEAP: follow up before the week is over
